There’s no slowing down ahead of stopping for the festive break this Friday at Yena HQ…

Just this week we confirmed two brilliant things I wanted to share:

Firstly, we have confirmed a date to launch our Rebel Meetups in Singapore – something I never thought would happen even 12 months ago, let alone back when we started. This is not only testament to the great work Abby is doing in heading up the Ops & Events side of the business but also further validation for our now highly scaleable events model.

We’re really excited to work with Karmen, the host of Yena’s Rebel Meetup in Singapore, who independently runs Another Startup Story sharing the stories of founders everywhere. We’re looking forward to hosting these on our blog as we grow our marketing strategies substantially in 2019.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re also delighted to be launching Digital Risks on our Toolbox, enabling us to provide Yena members with preferential rates on an already brilliant insurance product.

Digital Risks’ mission is to provide flexible insurance, comprehensively, to fast-moving, dynamic businesses – describing exactly what the Yena community is and what they need while enabling us to continue on our mission to make the startup journey easier (and more affordable) by saving members 10% on premiums.

We’re working on more partnerships, a few more core features, and exciting marketing strategies for next year right now – starting with our ‘New Year, New Business’, 30 Day Startup campaign which you can find here.

However we’re also looking forward to switching off over Christmas.

As a small team, building a great culture for future growth is important to me and mental health, wellbeing and physical health are all factors that are often underestimated in their power, when starting out & growing a small business. We’re always taking steps to ensure we never lose that focus over time, including taking our Sanctus Mental Health Pledgewhich sits proudly on my desk as you can see here:

So moving into a period where it’s tools down for everyone will give us a chance to reflect on the year, take account, and go at the next 12 months with renewed vigour.

I’m excited for it and can’t wait to get started!
