What drew me to working at YENA was the ability to support people through such an uncertain and crucial point in their lives.

Uncertainty is one of those things that everybody has to deal with, but people often try to avoid. I think most of us are guilty of holding on to this idea of ‘stability’ as something that can make you happier, which often ends up leaving us feeling lost or stuck. I know I have.

“Uncertainty is one of those things that everybody has to deal with, but people often try to avoid”

But what I love about entrepreneurs is their refusal to accept that.

Entrepreneurs embrace uncertainty because it’s part of the creative process that drives their innovation forward. And that’s where I think YENA’s social impact lies: in our ability to embrace innovation through uncertainty.

By helping to grow entrepreneurs regardless of their circumstances.

By realising that everybody has the potential to turn an idea into action.

One day I’m sure YENA will grow to mean lots of different things to lots of different people, but for me it will always be about that moment in a person’s mind when an idea starts to feel real. And, hopefully, it’ll feel real because we’ve given them the opportunity to turn that idea into something more.
